Inn Season Café

I remember my first visit to the Detroit area 6 years ago. I ate a vegetarian diet at that time and my fiancé (now husband) was kind enough to research a local vegetarian restaurant to take me to dinner. I’ve looked forward to returning since we moved to the area! We headed out with my son for an early dinner on a Saturday evening and even at 5:30 the restaurant was busy. One taste of the food and you will understand why!
Inn Season always uses the freshest, organic ingredients available and often sources local products; the quality of food is outstanding! I chose to start with a simple café salad with a side of creamy, delicious tahini dressing. I ordered the dressing on the side and added only a small amount, which was plenty. I would challenge any cream-based dressing lover to try this dressing, it is that good. For my main course, I ordered the cashew ginger stir-fry, which was a bounty of beautiful vegetables, complimented by a light but flavorful sauce. The portion was generous so I took half home.
One feature I appreciate about The Inn Season Cafe is the ability to select cheese, dairy-free cheese or avocado on many of the selections. Inn Season is also conscious of a variety of different dietary preferences or needs, noting gluten free, dairy free, soy free and vegan items on the menu. Inn Season is a casual, well-priced restaurant with outstanding food. I will definitely become a frequent visitor!
