Sara Yen is a Registered Dietitian with a passion for wellness through good nutrition and moving every day! She holds degrees in both Nutrition and Business Administration from Simmons College and completed her Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2010. Sara currently works part time as an outpatient dietitian at the Brookside Community Health Center in Jamaica Plain, MA aiding clients with weight management, and dietary management of chronic diseases, such as diabetes or heart disease. She also works as a research dietitian for the Harvard School of Public Health.

Sara is a self proclaimed foodie! She enjoys all things food-related including cooking, gardening, shopping at farmers’ markets, dining out, and learning, writing, and talking about food! Sara’s philosophy for wellness is: maximize use of whole foods, sweat daily, and avoid deprivation- moderation is key! Sara has a special interest in locally sourced food as well as supporting sustainable farming and fishing practices. Outside of food and nutrition, Sara’s interests include traveling, reading, dancing, and running.
